Pre-COVID, I used to do same-day turnarounds HKG-TPE-HKG-Destination quite a lot. Post-COVID, this is my first time having to do this later this month. Some questions:
- Does the turnaround boarding pass for TPE-HKG need to be issued in HKG ahead of time? (During my trips arriving in TPE this year, I could never see any transit desk manned by CX staff.)
- Is the procedure still going through transit security and coming back out on the Departures level near Gate B6? (During my trips arriving in TPE (usually in the evenings) this year, I have always found the transit security to be closed.) Or, does CX staff escort through another route now?
I am looking to do a same-day and same-plane turnaround on either CX 488/489 or CX 494/495.
