Maybe but this buying seat things really causing a lot of issues - people started feeling that they have the right to deplane before anyone sitting behind them - even though those people are ready to go but that person still has his bags at the overhead locker. From what I can see most seats are not taken until OLCI, so I guess people are not willing to pay for a seat.
