It seems from Flightaware that the flight only departed from VIE for BKK and TPE in the late evening the following day (as flight BR1062). The pax had to deboard in VIE? It seems a bit strange if indeed the flight was "cancelled" in VIE and pax had to stay to the following day for rebooking or continuation of the flight. Anyone with knowledge of what happened here?
The story says that the crew timed out.
Getting everyone a hotel and departing again with the same crew after their mandated rest period was still the quickest way to get the flight going again.
There was unfortunately some folks who could not enter Schengen, they did their best to make them comfortable in the airside transit area in VIE.
