I had this experience on Saturday. Late PM INTL flight which was subsequently cancelled before landing in YYZ. Flight rebooked for 9am the next day.
They let me in at the suite for dinner (although had to check with the manager first). Afterwards an airport staff member had to let me out of the International side where I had to go through passport control. Was able to make the trek over to the hotel for some sleep before the morning departure.
Worked out well as I would not have been able to visit in the morning. Lots of steps though.
