Perhaps and I could see how this would be a headscratcher to some folks as to how this is a premium dessert, but imho it’s still a quintessentially American way to end a meal. An indulgence that is not commonplace anymore in everyday life, hence it makes sense as a premium cabin dessert. I’d say US3 serving making your own sundaes is like BA serving afternoon tea, something that is very British and iconic, not eaten normally everyday nowadays, and could potentially cause some headscratching by non Brits as to how this could constitute a meal.
