I'm only silver, but prestige sea view suite for next Feb would be 168k pts for 4 nights, no breakfast. I could get the king bed with sea view through Chase for 176k pts, no breakfast.
At first glance, the suite with 1,110 sq feet sounds better and a little less pts.....but I think we would prefer the sea view from the bed. Would we be crazy to book the king bed room over the suite?
It depends on what you want.

I don't think it's a waste for a couple in general (certainly wasn't for us), for you two it seems that any suite would be a waste, view or not, if you don't spend any time in the living room.
