Hyatt still uses an award chart so if there is a standard room available you get it for a fixed number of points, regardless of cash price. I've booked the last room in a hotel that was selling for rack rate using points before, because it was a standard room. These extremely busy times are when Hyatt points have the most value.

(technically it's one of 3 fixed numbers of points, since they have off-peak, regular, and peak pricing, but the hotel has to declare their peak and off-peak nights well in advance, so it's nothing like dynamic pricing)
