Well I am flying next month so it is becoming kind of urgent unfortunately.
The reason for sure is Etihad wanting to focus more in Air Arabia on that route. I guess I will not have any other choice but to get a refund as I'm unable to travel before end of october, and the chance of Etihad willing to rebook me on QR or TK is basically zero.
Good point regarding the return journey, I never realised that to be honest!
