I saw the preview for the new Pink Panther movie. Inspector Clausou (Steve Martin), whips out his badget and it flys into the Chiefs chest.

OTOH, I think there are 2 valid reasons for having 2 FAM's in FC.

1. On 9/11 one of the first passengers killed, was a former Isreali army officer. He was sitting directly behind one of the hijackers. It's thought that he attempted to intervene. Unfortunately, he was also sitting directly in front of another one of the terrosists. Having 2 FAMs would avoid this issue. 1 handles the incident, the other watches the passengers (and covers FAM#1's back).

2. Someone made a good point earlier (which I hadn't thought about), if the FAM has to shoot, from the front of the plane, he is not shooting towards the cockpit.
