I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but BA Holidays will surely be the the big winner out of this for most people - I for one will certainly be packaging (with a cheap throwaway car/hotel) wherever possible to get

- more Avios
- low initial deposits
- better phone service (based on a common view of BAH staff)
- BAH additional bonus Avios
- possibly even cheaper prices than the flight alone would be, if you get lucky...

Yes, for GGLs it means no GGL line service, plus no 24 hour cooling off if booked online. But for the majority of people and the majority of flights, I'd say it makes more sense...
