I’ve signed up/renewed ambassador at IC Hong Kong and IC Tokyo Bay. I remember both times they triggered the IHG bonus on my Chase IHG card. I assume they should also count as travel on most cards.

I actually did try to renew it at IC Ljubljana two weeks ago. However front desk told me they were unable to renew it because the system was down.
