This might be common knowledge for all SkyTeam experts, but I am unable to find a conclusive answer. Looking on ExpertFlyer for award availability on AF and KL, there seems to be separate award class letters (within the same flight class, e.g. business class) for regular awards and elite awards.

So my question is: is there improved availability for awards for elite SkyTeam members?

I am currently in SAS/*A, but as mentioned above, it appears that SAS will transition to SkyTeam in 2024.
