And you just pointed out why even in the unlikely event that a status match "goes viral" beyond a small / the intended community is relatively harmless to the bottom line - you can shut it down at any time.
Given how much of the Swedish and Norwegian population is closer to GOT, OSL and CPH than to HEL, HEL is out of the way for most of the SASers flying to and from the US. It’s no wonder that KL has done a lot more business with getting people from Denmark, Sweden and Norway into and out of the US than Finnair has done from Denmark, Sweden and Norway — its due to the better route network and it does not involve as much going out of the way as with AY/HEL.
