At boarding for the Tuesday replacement flight ( USA 3029). Boarding time of 710 postponed to 740 “because the flight attendants just arrived.” Many people here initially tried to fly on Saturday…

750. Still no boarding. Captain has come to the gate area to say plane needed 8 software updates of which only 4 are done.
it is mind boggling to me that UA would assign a plane needing software updates. Like shouldn’t these updates be done before plane is in service?
( also it would now seem that previous announcement about flight attendant delay was…not the true reason for delay.)
