I did consider 4 days of AS LAX<->HNL flights in early Dec at 5.79cpm, but I think I'm going to LAX->LHR->DXB and back instead at 9.25cpm (or maybe SEA->LHR->DXB). Unfortunately, I'm still short a few hundred miles with either approach.
OGG > LAX/SAN is $139 main for some dates in Nov/Dec which works out to a hair less (around 5.6cpm). I'm currently going to end the year at about 60K... I could probably make one more trip back to PDX and back (from OGG) to see family but that still leaves me 10K short of 75K. Paying $556 (4 X $139) for 75K status is kind of a no-brainer even just for the 50K bonus miles but I'd probably need a room in SAN as the flights go over in the AM and back in the PM.
