Watch the premium fares subforum of the mileage run forum for deals, but generally the cheap starting locations are BUD, SOF, Italy, Spain with the occasional sale out of AMS, CDG, or DUB usually with a 180-day advance purchase. The key is to do an open-jaw on the EU locations to save on fuel.

I’m the same. And I make sure the fare allows for historical repricing after the outbound. BA marketed AY operated is usually my preference, but the new BA club suites on the a350s and Dreamliners are good and t3 lhr lounges are quite good. I’ve been able to reliably get tickets for $1200-1500 a couple times per year and earn all my eqm through this. I do hope HU comes back because that’s another good way to earn eqm cheap and opens up more designations that im interested in visiting during the winter season.
