not quite the same, but I had a oneup take credits from my APD even though the upgrade failed. I waited 3 days and it hadn't been returned, and ended up writing an email and it was promptly returned on the 4th business day (day 6).
thanks, ok then, I will only do that after my return leg, there is a chance that the upgrade to J would not clear, so may ended up in PE - shall see what happens and just write that one email instead of two, no concept of interests when it comes to APD...
