Indigo Krakow - Old Town

Indigo Krakow - Old Town

What is your Priority Club status?

Diamond (Amb)

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Yeah, I was.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Booked standard, received King Premium City View.

How are the rooms?

The design is not my cup of tea but I knew that before. I rarely enjoy Indigos when it comes to the room aesthetic. I still book them as they are often relatively new, well-located, and provide reasonable elite recognition.

The premium room is supposed to feature a stocked mini bar according to the IHG web site but was empty. The city view was over the roof of the Stary Kleparz market (so quite unremarkable). The bathroom was a bit small but in great shape with a decent walk-in rainshower with great water pressure. Bed comfortable. No-nonsense AC.

So while I question the design aesthetically, the room ticks off quite a few boxes. BTW, the baroque building itself I do like, the exterior has been updated tastefully.

How is the exec. lounge?

N/A

What was good and what was bad?

Overall, a solid Indigo. They oversell the restaurant a bit (just because it is mentioned in Poland's Guide Michelin). What I ordered by room service from the restaurant Filipa 18 arrived cold. Portion sizes a tad small. Presentation was good.

The breakfast buffet is a bit on the small side, but the a la carte menu supplements it nicely--their omelettes were good, too.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Yes, I would return. I do like the location. Not an outstanding stay, but it was perfectly adequate and okay.
