I currently hold AmEx Bonvoy Brilliant and I'm looking to downgrade to the $95 AmEx Bonvoy and apply for Chase Bonvoy Boundless. I've reviewed the table at https://thepointsguy.com/credit-card...-bonvoy-cards/ and I'm trying to figure out the timing to be eligible for sign up bonus from Boundless.
AmEx Bonvoy Brilliant's annual fee is due this next month. Towards the end of November I will be 2 years since the sing up bonus hit my account, so I should be able to apply for the Chase card then according to the chart. Can I then immediately downgrade AmEx Brilliant to the $95 card or will it affect my eligibility for Chase sign up bonus? If I understand the chart correctly, I cannot have the $95 AmEx Bonvoy in the 30 days before applying for Bonvoy Boundless, but does it matter if I get it after Boundless is approved?
