Makes my mouth water. I used to always order it at Roy's Poipu (prior to Eating House). One time, probably about 15 years ago now, they ran out and substituted something else for the butterfish and didn't tell me. I, of course, noticed and complained. We were friendly with the manager, who had previously been a waiter, who we always asked for. He comped the entire meal for four of us (which included famous FTer Mary2e and her husband), which was about $350 IIRC. It was a lot at the time. The next time we went in, our favorite manager was nowhere to be seen and the only explanation was that "He's no longer here." I'm guessing he was "giving away the store."

Anyway, Roy's butterfish is right up there with one of the best dishes I have ever had.
