I booked a UA flight ticket with LifeMiles, and they gave me an Avianca PNR. I used that PNR to check my reservation on United and there is nothing. I've talked to United and indeed there is no reservation under my name. I contacted LifeMiles many times and they just said the reservation exists and sent me the Avianca confirmation pdf. The United PNR is different than the Avianca PNR. Request the Avianca customer service agent to resend you the confirmation via email - typically that will be generated by the Amadeus reservation system and will have an Amadeus.com email ID. You should be able to see the PNR for each operating airline in that email.
