HAHA, this thread really made me laugh. Yes it's incredibly annoying and I wish more airlines were more cognizant of asking people to wear earbuds. Bluetooth ones from a certain manufacturing giant aren't exactly expensive anywhere in the world, so an excuse of the lack of a headphone jack isn't going to win you any friends. You can get cheap bluetooth buds for a few dollars if needed though they may not sound great.

I had this exact thing in a CI flight from MNL last week where a Taiwanese guy was taking his prized Filipina trophy with him back to Taiwan. She looked 100% like a Japanese Anime girl and would not stop blaring TikTok until her signal cut off around 5-7,000 feet. I was very thankful when that happened, but couldn't believe the CI cabin attendants said nothing at all. (please don't start down the road of how I knew where each of them was from, I've been in Asia for 20 years and am pretty accurate on that). Being from the US originally where this lewd behavior is also extremely common, I'm very thankful that Japanese lounge and cabin attendants will quash it immediately. Once in a while I actually need to take a business call in the lounge, but I have the good sense to seek out an out of the way place, or in Japan the designated phone rooms.
