Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
No. The hotel room was dated, dirty, no status recognition, and staff seems to be unfamiliar with IHG rules.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Standard Twin (specified high floor and away from elevator in preference), received the same type, on second floor and next to elevator.

How are the rooms?
The room was quite small (not enough room for unpacking two large suitcases) and very dark (possibly due to two lights being broken). It faces the main road and quite noisy even with window closed.
The housekeeping did a sloppy job - left over food packages under the bed (you can actually smelled it), hairs on the towels, bathtub, and bathroom floor. TV did not work, and the outlets/lights next to the desk did not work.

Contacted front desk regarding the issues, and was told that they are full and offered to bring up fresh towels.

What was good and what was bad?
The good:
- Nothing

The bad:
- The room was booked months ago with specific preferences, yet we received the completely opposite (low floor instead of high, next to elevator instead of away from)
- No status recognition. When showed our IHG cards, the front desk staff still declined to provide any benefit as "no number is showing on our booking record"
- Room is very dark and quite small

The ugly:
- Gross room, sloppy housekeeping
- Wi-Fi is not encrypted, and disconnects every 10 minutes or so

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Paid 32K. Reasonable given the price of hotels in Salzburg. In retrospect should've taken the train to Vienna and stay at Indigo or IC there. Absolutely would not return even if comp'd.
