Holiday Inn Naples, Italy

What is your IHG One Rewards status?
Diamond Royal Ambassador Inner Circle

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest rate and received a Premium room on high floor.

How are the rooms?
Recently renovated.
Around 27 sqm.

Comfortable bed.
Usb sockets next to the bed

Desk.
Kettle. No Nespresso machine.

Small closet
Television with good selection of international channels
No Chromecast.
Free PressReader
Free minibar

Very efficient air conditioning.

Bathroom with walk-in shower.
Prija toiletries.
Bathrobe

View over the city, Vesuvio and harbour.
Very quiet.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD
  • 15 minutes by taxi from the airport (the hotel used to have a shuttle, but not anymore)
  • Smiling and attentive staff
  • Pretty good breakfast.
  • Free minibar in Premium rooms.

BAD
  • Nothing (even if location, in a post-modernist brutalist deserted office district is not the most romantic one).

Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes
Hotel is not cheap considering location, but it makes the job if you need a first night closed to the airport.

If you want to visit the (superb) city of Naples, it may not the best option, unless you walk/take public transportation or use a bike.
