I look at it as Aeroplan + Aventura.

I concentrate on Aeroplan, as it offers much more reasonable opportunity to fly all over the world in J.

But not all my flights need to be around the world in J, so Aventura, particularly with the current offer of a bonus when using points as a credit against travel purchases, has it's uses.
