Seat selection via the GF website for AP J redemptions worked as of August 2022, so not sure what changed. But couple lessons I've learned today:

* If your itinerary includes an EY segment, you can select your GF seats through the EY manage booking website (no, does not work for itineraries without EY, I tried)

* Instead of calling, you can select your seat via the GF live chat feature on their website. No wait time and no small talk, very fast.
