- Name of the hotel: Sofitel Bruxelles Europe

- What is your ALL status? Gold

- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Each time booked Classic and upgraded to luxury (two categories upgrade)

- How are the rooms? Nice and spacious. "Standard" Sofitel decor

- What was good and what was bad?

Good:
- Great location if you need to be in the European district (not really an obvious choice otherwise) with the best fritkot of Brussels on the square
- Nice staff
- If breakfast is included you can have it in bed, which I really like

Bad:
- Nothing "bad", but whilst staff is nice, service is a bit hit and miss - pillow menu includes reference to the Sofitel pillow mist which I like. Asked it every time and never received it, a couple of times staff knocked and came straight in without waiting for an answer (one time when I was in my bath so not great!)
- I find the restaurant a bit underwhelming
- Location isn't great for public transport (though there is an option nearby for the airport)

- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? No lounge

- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? Drink voucher is quite limited: beer on tap (Hoegaarden or Leffe), house wine, or soft drink. Welcome amenity was a box of Neuhaus chocolate orange this time (something else previously).

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? Yes I have returned. Quite expensive much of the time, but that's the norm with Brussels.
