- What is your ALL status? Gold
- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes, very happy (multiple times)
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked classic upgraded to superior with partial ocean view
- How are the rooms? Many people don't like the hotel because it feels dated but frankly, I don't care. The rooms may feel a bit dated but they are very comfortable with large balconies and generally very nice IMHO.
- What was good and what was bad?
Good:
- Great service
- Lovely views
- Great swimming pool and club
- High quality food
- Great location
Bad:
- There is basically one bad thing: it is expensive - everything is expensive: room rate, breakfast (which is very good), food.
- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? No lounge
- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? Yes, welcome drink including the lovely cocktails. Welcome amenity was a box of Biarritz macarons (that is the dry almond ones, not the ones with filling) and a bottle of Millat apricot nectar (honestly, I find the stuff completely overrated but i know it is fashionable and probably matches the "healthy" ethos of the hotel)
- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? As mentioned it is expensive so not sure that value for money is the right word, but I like the hotel a lot and return regularly
