Currently in Scotland (Presidents Circle) Picked up a Model Y Long Range at EDI. When I checked the cables for both it was missing the AC charge cable but had the mobile connector… call over lot attended to say 1 cable is missing, calls Hertz manager. He comes over and says it’s not a big deal as you can supercharge. I’m like yes but there should be TWO cables here one missing, I need it written down on the contract so I’m not disputing the eventual missing cable charge. Also I have a charging setup at my AirBNB for 7kw…
he says well it only has one.. I’m like yes I know but it should have two. I go over to a model 3 and both cables are there. He shrugs and says well I can change your car but for a Polestar. I said I don’t want to change cars I just want it to be noted that a cable is possibly missing or give me a cable. he says ok I’ll fix it on your contract. Tells lot attendant to amend the damage report.
i get in the car and the white slip isn’t there. I’m annoyed now so go inside and retrieve that. He tells me “I told you I’ll fix it” I’m like I’m here for my slip that’s not in the car. He gives it to me and I say did you note the missing cable and email me an updated contract. Starts grumbling… I said look I’m being cool and have rented EVs and own and EV… imagine this happening to someone else and there is an issue? You guys have iffy reviews at this location already let’s be cool here and get this resolved…. Finally he prints out a contact and updates the damage report with missing cable shakes my hand and wishes me a nice trip.
contact my host and tell him my story. He says “illa have a cable for you, I’ll give you mine from my car it will be in the house” get to our lovely cottage and sure enough it’s there.
