I was really into the first row window seats for awhile due to the larger footrest area, but now have switched to the last row of odd number window seats. The only exception is 9A on the 789. no lavatory in front and no galley lights at all. I will go for 9A on the 789 if it is available, otherwise the last odd number window seat.
All the foot traffic are ahead of me during the flight, and lavatory availabilities are easily monitored. I am fine with being served last. As a GS, I have never failed to get my first choice.
I don't mind the pre-boarding crowd. In fact I enjoy people watching, so felt a bit sitting in a cocoon during the boarding process in the front cabin.
