Thought I posted this earlier but perhaps I put it in the wrong forum. Short version - I had food with freezer gel-packs - i wanted to keep it as cool as I could as long as I could, figured TSA would confiscate the packs. The food items always generate a search.

My bag got flagged and pulled because of the food items and they were removed and inspected - but not a word was set about the gel packs (not dry ice) that they were packed with.
