I am flying OZ from DEL-ICN and then ICN-SFO. on the same itinerary (but booked as separate segments). will i be able to claim the checked bags at ICN or will it just go through to SFO even though i have 12+ hours layover? for what it's worth, those two segments were booked separately, not as a DEL-SFO with connection. when i check the bags at DEL, can i ask them to only ship them to ICN?

thanks in advance. i've done my share of flying (1 million miler and 2 .5 milers) but never had to do this, thus the question.
