Flight cancelled - compensation?
I am booked on a club/J BA holidays package for 4 people for outbound LIN-LHR-IAD flying tomorrow.
Our LIN-LHR has literally just been cancelled, less than 12 hours before we were due to fly.
They have rebooked us on a later LIN-LHR (but in economy as Club is now full) and the later LHR-IAD flight (obviously we’ve lost our original seats and now have awful seats of the scraps / what’s left but at least we are still in club).
I have a car hire due back to LIN at 6am which I now won’t be returning until later, will BA pay the penalty / extra day rental charges? What other compensation are we entitled to? This is hugely inconvenient as we needed to be in DC early.
