Well, the contract expires today. There's a lengthy process to actually get from there to a strike, but contract expiry is a meaningful milestone.
The government might well legislate them back to work if they did strike, but hopefully a deal will get done well before we get to that point. Things got messy at WS in the spring.
One would think AC would know that they won't have much choice at this point if they want to keep the pilots who have not yet left... Westjet did not go very far with their uncompromising attitude.
