In answer to my own questions I did get fast track security (BA Gold) travelling in ET.

Smokers look out for the "Orange" at CDG - smoking lounge adjacent to toilets near to Extime Lounge.

Lounge has very nice furniture and the ambience is pleasant. Food range a bit limited but a lovely Beef Stroganoff one of the Hot Dishes on offer.

Quite adequate and better than any Aspire Lounge I've been in.
