When you send your message, do not mention unnecessary information like the lounge episode and your attempt to upgrade again.

Basically you had 2 business class tickets and got downgraded to Y because of a flight cancellation.
Would be best if you had already printed the Boarding passes. But I guess that US BP are only available 24h before.
Still, it is worth trying to get EC261 downgrade compensation.
