Hey all, please forgive the noob question, but I heard a friend talking about flying standby for free via a relative who works for an airline and it made me wonder if AA has a similar policy? I have a pretty distant college friend working for AA who I was going to reach out to and ask if they get any benefits as an AA employee (to see if I could potentially use them and compensate him as a thank you), but only was going to reach out if AA indeed offers this benefit with their own metal or other OW airlines. Wanted to be armed with the right info before reaching out.
Or do you all know what other airlines have the most lenient family/friend policies for flying standby / passing on benefits? Thanks in advance.

Unless things have changed, the employee may not profit from buddy passes, although you might be able to reimburse him for whatever service charges and fees are associated with the travel.
