Wanted to be armed with the right info before reaching out.

Or do you all know what other airlines have the most lenient family/friend policies for flying standby / passing on benefits? Thanks in advance.
Dedicated thread for AA "buddy passes" here:

All things Employee & Buddy Pass (D3, D* passes etc.) (consolidated)

Unless things have changed, the employee may not profit from buddy passes, although you might be able to reimburse him for whatever service charges and fees are associated with the travel.
