I have it on good authority that BA is hoping to restart the Gatwick to Aberdeen route in 2024. This would be particularly useful for passengers arriving into Gatwick from places including Tampa and Orlando and wishing to head up to the NE Scotland. At the moment I avoid the TPA-LGW route because I can't stand the trek across London to Heathrow.
