and apparently BA just incinerated bags they can’t match rather than auctioning them so while yes the AirTag and knowing where it is provides additional frustration in these cases it can help immensely at times. The worst is I never check bags outside of dive trips, only did it this time as my travel companion was in WT and had a large bag offered to check hers under my CE ticket and figured since would be waiting and my bag was admittedly large (packing lederhosen and London closed take about of space) figured since would be waiting for bags anyways just check it too (never again, from my cold dead hands!)
