I have the CIBC Aeroplan infinite prvilage card ($599) coming up for renewal. Was planning to downgrade it to the $139 version as I'm retired and don't need it. They are only offering 3000 aeroplan points as a retention offer. Seems really low. I can get the TD version and 70K points for $7500 points spend in 12 months. Anyone have any advice for downgrading?
