I have about a 7 hour layover in BUD from arriving on the early morning PVG flight and departing on the afternoon KLM flight to Amsterdam. My KLM flight is in Economy Class but I have Flying Blue Platinum status. The SkyTeam Lounge Finder says KLM uses the SkyCourt Lounge (
https://www.bud.hu/en/passengers/sho...kycourt_lounge).
How is this lounge for a long layover? Unfortunately, the website says does not says there is are showers (which is what I mostly want after a long haul flight).
you wont be able to access this lounge unless you have boarding pass . If you do not have a luggage then you are free to go but they most likely will have a time limit (3h earlier max)
if you do have luggage then you would need to wait for checkin counters to open (usually 2/3h before flight i think)
This lounge is not done for long layovers , its just a sit and relax 3rd party lounge , good enough for 2h max
I have Accor Live Limitless Platinum status and the airport hotel is an ibis Styles but I the cost of a room for a few day hours will be more than reasonable. I assume my FB status gets me lounge access and is this my best option?s
depending on the time you arrive in BUD then either a day use room or a normal booking with early check-in might be a good option , but notify the hotel about your arrival time
BTW, how are the MU lounges in PVG? On my PVG-BKK and BKK-PVG layovers I have about 4 to 5 hours, so again would want a shower. Never been to PVG before and I'm expecting it to be huge with multiple MU lounges and no prior estimation of gates for nearby lounges.
Thanks
