All for an ever decreasing minority that would want to prefer to use it on a flight.
Other than possibly number 2, all the beneftis and 'cost/time savings' etc are all to the benefit of seller.

If they should offer a discount for making their lives easier, I may pay by card.

But I am bu$$ered if I am going to save the seller's bank charges, or the time it takes for their reconcilliations/security etc just to suit them!
