One thing to keep in mind. Most Call Centers have different levels or skills assigned to the people working there. So if someone is calling for basic flight info, they may get the level 1. But when the ExPlat calls in he gets they get a level 7. These people could easily be sitting beside each other, or in there homes for all that it matters. They log into their phones, and they are one available agent at a specific skill. Probably varies with the current call patterns.
Compare this to trying to schedule 3 seperate "desks". They probably did used to actually be physically seperate, but that doesn't mean those same people aren't there..... So you have a bigger pool of people, sick days, vacation etc don't affect availability/scheduling as bad....
That being said. I can tell a distinct difference between calling the Plat line with my AA# and the normal one, if I do not put my AA# in. I am happing with them overalll. Regardless of where they sit.
