My take. I subscribe to electronic Telegraph, Guardian, and Economist. I no longer get printers ink on my fingers and vast amounts of paper to sling out. I watch France 2 news nightly. I prefer the weekends as I think that Laurent de la Housse is the dishiest anchor man alive but that’s by-the-by. I read and watch both BBC and Sky news. I wouldn’t give the time of day to US news channels as by the time that they’ve told us who they are and what they do; it’s time for the commercials.
Business Travel is as trustworthy a source of unbiased travel news as anywhere that accepts vast amounts of advertising from the people that they are supposed to be reviewing .
In short, I can read everything on my IPad and wish never to pick up paper again. I am an avid and voracious reader and I snubbed Kindles. Stupid B***h. I was given one by my husband and it slips into my handbag and I can read it in any light. I would know more go back to buying physical books, love them, though I do, then I would have log fires and a water pump in the kitchen. It’s yesterday and yesterday is gone. However, there is a bat coming as you knew there would, I am also a Telegraph cryptic crossword fan. I just cannot get to grips with doing the crossword on a screen. What I do is to print them out because I need the paper to do anagrams and notes. If that sounds like a complete contradiction of everything I have said so far, so be it . I also print out things that I have written on the iPad. All the PC read them before they go out the door. I miss things particularly repetition on the screens. BA please save your money and fix the IT which is doing my temper little good and instead of littering the Lounges pay Baxter Storecupboard to improve the catering.
