While not by any means pretending i'm a green advocate I find it slighltly odd that people here worry about the relatively small environmental impact of paper magazines and newspapers in lounges (which no doubt get recycled) when they are waiting to get on a plane, perhaps in business or first, which has a real impact in terms of fuel and CO2.
They aren't coming back. BA doesn't print anything on paper anymore, they've removed those old magazine units they left post-covid in the lounge and the cost of stocking them is just a cost they won't need. It's not going to happen on so many levels. It's like bringing something back from the late 90s which 'worked' then bit a bit so-so now, but will cost £xxxx/month and appeal to an ever-decreasing number of older clientele.
