The only way to retain full eCredit value on roundtrip fares to EU is to book a return from EU (otherwise, they will reprice outbound as a one-way). Normally, you have 1 year from ticket issue to book and fly, but DL extended credits so you only have fly by end of 2024 (but you will still need to rebook by January when credit expires).
