Wife and I have booked an AA flight DUB-PHL-FLL-PHL-DUB for Dec 25, return Jan 9 in Business (DUB-PHL and back) and First on the domestic flights
Now AA has changed the incoming PHL-FLL to PHL-MIA which I only noticed due to a notification from Flighty App. When I look in Manage my booking it only shows the new connection, not even a notice about the change.
In FLL we have booked an AVIS rental car which cannot be cancelled or changed without costs. That is on a separate booking with BA
My question: What realistic options do I have?
1. Just accept and either pay the cost for the AVIS car rental change or take an Uber from MIA to FLL and pick up the original booked car.
2. Ask AA to refund the cost for option 1
3. An other idea?
Guess my BA Gold (OneWorld Emerald) does not help much in that case, right?

Update on my question
BA was able to change my AVIS car booking on the phone and they did not charge me as this change was a fault of AA (changing my destination airport)
So, everything went well, happy customer again ;-)
