I am new to Qatar and while I have a new Privilege Account linked to BA, I do not have any Avios in it. I would like to use the "Cash + Avios" option but can't prompt it until I have some Avios in the account. Is there any way I can figuree out , or even get a general estimate, on how many Avios I could potentially use if I paid for 50% of a ticket in that manner. My ticket price will be just under $6,000 to get me from ADL to JFK through Doha. I will transfer points from Amex and Marriott to get Avios when I figure out how many Avios I will need. If anyone could give me a clue it would help a lot.
