Unfortunately, nowadays, I would be willing to bet it’s pretty high. This could be one of the items mentioned in complaints after a stay by the once a year traveler in order to garner a free stay or more points or even a partial refund. It’s become the norm now even for Airbnb and VRBO hosts that after the stay the guests contact Airbnb or VRBO to make some off the wall complaints. Some of the complaints are ones thats for legit had they contacted the host it could have been fixed within minutes.
These once a year travelers that have no loyalty to any one brand have become a new bred of bad news and ones that need to stay home or only book trips they can afford without relying on a fake claim for a refund.
