My one positive thought about this campaign is that if this proves successful and Delta loses more elites than they anticipated (not only to AS, but also AA/UA), maybe it will slow down the overall destruction of loyalty programs a bit.
"Snooty DL elites?" Good thing I've never seen any AS DYKWIA passengers over the years!

My other positive thoughts are (1) maybe AS starts to enforce some better service standards for the inflight crews; and (2) maybe AS decides to have temporary labor peace and harmony sooner rather than later, because the last thing a poached passenger wants to experience is a bad attitude, delays, cancelations, etc. And maybe there's a (3) - if enough CA passengers sign up for this, perhaps AS decides to provide flights - I was going to expand on that, but really, we just need flights, period.

"I just switched over from Delta, and I'd like to fly SFO/JFK on January XX and need to get there in time for dinner." (Agent) "We can get you there in mid-March, unless we pull that flight from the schedule, too." (Oh, by the way, for some of you naysayers that January reductions are just that, there is no longer an early AM SFO/JFK until mid-March now.)
